Effective date: 8 November 2026
Our commitment
nitnem.audio is a Gurbani listening app, part of The Gurbani School and made by EnaTheo Ltd. The current release does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number or payment details.
Information stored on your device
Playlists, language, appearance, playback preferences, listening progress, encrypted audio downloads and protected playback keys are stored on your device. The app does not send your playlists or search text to the developer. Downloaded recordings can play offline. Playback temporarily decrypts audio into a protected temporary file, which is removed when playback releases it or the app process ends.
Audio delivery and app updates
On iOS, Apple On-Demand Resources supplies recordings when requested. The app saves an encrypted offline copy and releases its request for the delivered resource; iOS may keep its own cache until it reclaims the space. Apple manages delivery and App Store updates under its own terms and privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
On Android, Google Play Asset Delivery supplies recordings when requested. The app saves an encrypted offline copy and requests removal of the redundant delivery pack. Google Play manages delivery and app updates under its own terms and privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. Interrupted transfers or cleanup failures may temporarily use additional storage.
Advertisements and advertising choices
The app displays Google AdMob banner and interstitial advertisements. Google and its advertising services may process network and device information, advertising identifiers where available, ad interactions, and diagnostics to deliver, measure and protect advertising. Google may use device storage and advertising identifiers according to your choices and device settings. Where required, Google's User Messaging Platform presents an ad consent message. When available, open About > Ad privacy choices to review or change your choices. This app does not request Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission or access the iOS advertising identifier through an ATT authorization request. See Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy and advertising information at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Planned analytics and push notifications
Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) are not included in the current release. We plan to add them in a future release, and will update this notice to describe the final configuration before enabling them.
If enabled, Google Analytics for Firebase will help us understand general app use. The SDK may automatically collect app events and session statistics, app-instance identifiers, app version, device and operating-system information, language, and approximate location derived from network information such as an IP address. Google says Analytics uses IP addresses at collection to derive location information and discards them before event data is logged. We do not intend to send names, contact details, playlist contents or search text to Analytics. Google processes Analytics data under its privacy terms: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy and https://policies.google.com/privacy.
If enabled, FCM will be used to deliver announcements and service updates. Google processes app-instance or registration-token information and technical delivery data to route messages to installations. You can deny notification permission or turn off notifications in your device settings. Google's Firebase privacy information is available at https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Permissions and notifications
The app uses internet access for audio delivery, advertising, app updates and any connected services described in this policy. Android may request notification permission for download progress and uses local foreground-service notifications for downloads and background playback. These local notifications are separate from the planned FCM push notifications. Background audio supports playback and lock-screen controls. The app does not request access to contacts, precise location, camera, microphone or your shared media library.
Other services and purchases
Android includes Google Play Billing for an optional one-time purchase to remove banner and launch advertisements. Google Play handles payment; the app does not receive or store card details. A signed purchase receipt and token are stored on the device to verify and restore ad-free access. This purchase does not transfer to Apple devices; iOS in-app purchases are not included in the current release.
The current release does not integrate Unity Ads or a developer-operated account service. Optional sign-in code is retained for future configuration, but sign-in is disabled. If an optional audio host is configured, it receives ordinary request information such as your IP address. External store links and advertisements may open services operated by other organisations; review their privacy policies.
Retention and deletion
Removing downloads deletes the app's encrypted offline copies. Apple may retain its separate delivery cache until reclaimed; Android requests removal of Play delivery packs. Clearing Android app data removes local preferences, playlists, credentials, keys and purchase data. Uninstalling removes app files and preferences; device-only iOS Keychain items may remain until removed by the system. Android app-data backup is disabled, and downloaded recordings are excluded from iCloud backup. An active temporary playback file may remain until playback stops. Third-party providers retain information under their own policies and settings. The developer does not operate a user-account database in the current release.
Security
Audio downloads use store delivery or HTTPS and remain encrypted in app storage. Protected credentials and playback keys use Apple Keychain or Android Keystore. Reasonable safeguards reduce risk but cannot guarantee absolute security. Recording keys included in the app can be extracted; the app's encryption is not DRM.
Children's privacy
The app provides devotional audio for general audiences and does not ask children to submit personal information. Advertising services, and the analytics or notification services described above if enabled in a future release, may process technical information. Parents or guardians with privacy concerns can use the developer contact in the app's store listing.
Changes and contact
We will post policy changes here and update the effective date. For privacy questions, use the developer contact in the app's store listing.
